How to Access Google Drive on Apple TV

[1] Generate Google Drive API Key

The first step is you need to generate a Google Drive API key. As Google offers cloud tools for computing services, you can easily create an API key that helps in authenticating your drive.

[1] Launch the Google Cloud Console freemium version and log in to your Google account.

[2] On the Google Cloud Dashboard, select the Project icon and tap on New project.

[3] Enter the project name & location and tap on Create.

[4] Then, click on the Three Horizontal line icon on the top of the screen and select APIs & Credentials option.

[5] Tap the Library option. You will get the API Library page.

[6] Here, select Google Drive API to open it.

[7] Next, click on Enable button to turn on the Google Drive API.

[8] After enabling it, select Manage and click on the Credentials tab.

[9] From the drop-down menu, select Google Drive APK, click on User data, and tap the Done button.

[10] Now, click on the + Create Credentials option and you will see the API key will start to generate.

[2] Get Sharing Link

[1] You need to choose the Google Drive media file that you want to stream.

[2] Now, right-click on the file and select the Get link option.

[3] Click on Anyone with the link and copy the URL link.

[4] Paste the sharing URL and copy the FileID. Then, save it.

[3] Create GoogleAPIs Streaming Link

[1] Launch the Notepad and enter the Google API URL as

https://www.googleapis.com/drive/v3/files/FFileID?alt=media&key=APIKey

[2] Then, replace the FileID with the copied File ID and APIKey with the generated API Key.

[3] Finally, copy the modified GoogleAPIs link.

[1] Download and Install the VLC Player on your Apple TV from the App Store.

[2] Open the app and select the Network Stream option.

[3] In the required field, enter the Google Drive API URL.

[4] Now, the video from Google Drive media will start to stream.
